The First Stage

In this quote Pip is referring to when he first met Mrs. Havisham and Estella also. He was altered because he didn't want to settle for being common and also became very self conscience of himself. Pip then becomes very worried about the way people see him and what they think of him, and has to worry about the way he acts around certain people.

The first link in my own personal chain that has been life changing, was when my aunt died of cancer a few years ago and I begun to realize the way I wanted to live my life. And also they way I treated the people close to me, and appreciate everything they do for me. Since that day I've learned to stop and think before doing things and also spend more of my life doing things that I love because you never know how long you're going to be around for.

Group Essay.

Hannah, Deisha and my topic was about dishonestly in The Importance of Being Earnest and the different levels of it throughout the play. My part was the higher level of dishonesty; lying about your actual name. My first quote was when Algy read the inside of Jack's cigarette case and found out that Jack was his real name. I went on to talk about why Jack had lied about his real name and how he wanted free time to leave the country and have an excuse. My next concrete detail was Gweldolyn saying how she loves the name Ernest and couldn't love a man with a boring name. I said that Jack had to then continue his lie about his name so that Gweldolyn would continue to love him. My final concrete detail was Algernon saying he was Ernest to win over Cecily. I said that it shows that Algernon has to be untruthful about his real name in order to be with Cecily.

I don't think I'm going to write my topic or concluding sentences until I read your guys blogs because I need to know how to tie them together.
